On the afternoon of September 5, the delegation of Bravia state, Federal Republic of Germany led by Mr. Michael Kretzer- Head of the Bavarian State Health Policy and Committee, Federal Republic of Germany, Chairman of Max Pharma Group visited and worked in the Phu Tho Medical College. The following comrades welcomed and worked: Nguyen Quang An – Rector, Vice-rectors and Leaders of Departments of Phu Tho Medical College.

At the meeting, the Rector of Phu Tho Medical College-Mr. Nguyen Quang An expressed his pleasure to welcome the delegation of Bavarian state. An overview of the history and potential strength of Phu Tho Medical College and the development process towards Phu Tho Medical Technology and Pharmacy is introduced. The school also hopes to receive strong attention, cooperation and support from the Bravia state and German Government, especially cooperation in building a specialized cancer hospital. This hospital will provide a high-quality medical examination and treatment facility not only for the school, but also for Phu Tho province and the nine Northwestern regions of Vietnam. Furthermore, scientific and technical cooperation in training, production and research will promote the development of the school towards the University-Hospital system and the pharmaceutical industry-distribution and biotechnology centre.
Head of the Bavarian State Health Policy and Committee-Mr. Michael Kretzer thanked the warm and respectful welcome that the leaders of Phu Tho Medical college gave to the delegation. This is the second time Mr. Michael Kretzer has visited the school and Phu Tho province. He has an excellent impression of the culture and people in this area. He also expressed strong support and wishes to cooperate with the school and Phu Tho province to build a specialized Oncology Hospital in Phu Tho and further expand cooperation in the field of pharmaceutical production and biotechnology; bringing the achievements in medicine, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology of the Federal Republic of Germany to Vietnam.
Mr. Nguyen Quang An and Mr. Michael Kretzer signed a cooperation agreement between the two parties.
Immediately after the meeting, two parties discussed and agreed on the program to implement plans, develop projects and sign cooperation agreements. This is one of the crucial phases in the school’s partnership with the Federal Republic of Germany, and it will help the school develop in terms of producing high-quality medical personnel. The relationship is going to help the school diversify its financial sources from foreign partners while also demonstrating that the school is a reputable institution that receives attention and trust. The enthusiasm of the rector, the board of directors and the teachers and staff of Phu Tho Medical College is gradually bringing the school to new achievements and helping the school integrate with the rapid development of the world.
